apbs are wholly committed to ensuring our working practices adhere to environmental legislation, we also highly regard the importance of conserving the local and global environment by taking actions that support and encourage best practice towards building a cleaner and safer world for us all to live in.

Principles of Action
The following principles will be applied in all our working practices
and procedures:
- Minimise the amount of landfill waste by recycling as much as
  possible, this action will benefit the environment
- Dispose of waste safely, all waste will be disposed of safely and at
  an appropriate place
- Protection of the environment, we will minimise and wherever
  possible, eliminate the use of substances that cause damage to
  the environment
- Use of natural resources, wherever possible we will make use of
  renewable natural resources and use recycled materials
- Protect the living world, we will be mindful of the local environment
  and its upkeep
- Conserve energy, wherever possible we will be mindful of the
  usage and of all limited resources - water, energy and materials
- Effective Planning of Work Allocation; we cannot work without
  transport, but we can plan to make effective use of vehicles
